It is obvious today as it was decades ago that the media effect theory has little going for it as an explanation to human behavior which I believe Lasswell and the others who propounded the theory would agree to if were around today
I personally do not think the media can cause people to take certain action all because it was mediated by it, even though I admit it can influence peoples decisions and perceptions, I can not accept the theory as affecting human behavior, rather the media researchers should explore other areas of media and its effects on the masses rather than blaming peoples actions as caused by the media

Hmmm! interesting observation. Which areas do you recommend media researchers need to explore?
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting if you could propose and carry out a study to that effect. Hopeful you can see that in your next project work. Good.
